Welcome to Hügel Haus, German for “House on the Hill”. Started by three friends, Linden, David, and Kevin when they put their heads together and came up with the concept of Hügel Haus, a German inspired, Wisconsin influenced restaurant giving the Door County community the long awaited German cuisine. After 6 months of plotting and planning, Hügel Haus was born in June of 2019 in the historic HillSide Motel in Ellison Bay, WI. Serving Deutschland classics & inspired Wisconsin favorites along with great German bier, wine, & specialty cocktails. We use local foods when available and family recipes to bring you the best German cuisine in Door County. We are a casual dining restaurant & we promise you won’t leave hungry.
